100% Australian grown beetroots, harvested and dried at the source within 24hrs.
Our pure raw beetroot powder is made from 100% Aussie grown beets. Organically and sustainably grown and harvested, our powder has a rich red colour and contains no fillers or anti-caking agents. Harvested within 24 hours to lock in maximum freshness and nutrition, the beetroots are then low temperature dehydrated at the source to produce a high quality powder with a powerful punch. 10g (3 heaped teaspoons) of our beet powder is equivalent to around 100g of fresh beetroot. (half a medium sized beetroot) A source of fibre, antioxidants and essential vitamins and minerals, our beetroot powder also boasts a high concentration of organic nitrates to enhance cardiovascular health and stamina.
Beetroot powder is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture quickly. As our pure beetroot contains no anti-caking agents or other fillers, it is prone to clumping. To prevent this, store well sealed in an airtight container in a cool environment or the fridge, use regularly and give it a loving stir (yes this helps!) and never, ever use a wet spoon. If the product hardens you can whack it on the edge of the table to release the compacted powder.Beetroot powder has a sweet earthy flavour and adds a vibrant red colour to cooking. Enjoy mixed into smoothies, hot chocolate, added to sweet or savoury dishes such as dips and soups or as a pre or post workout drink to support endurance and recovery.
Beets originate from the Mediterranean. Grown mostly for their greens by the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, it wasn't until the 17th Century that the roots were used in cooking. Beets have also historically been used as natural colourants and for medicinal purposes.
