You knead this beetroot vegan pizza recipe for any time the pizza craving strikes. Our organic Beetroot Powder is rich in inorganic nitrates which support brain health, immune function and improved endurance and recovery from exercise. Beetroot Powder also makes pretty pink food!
Power Super Foods
200g spelt flour/plain flour or gluten free plain flour
3 Tbsp Power Super Foods Beetroot Powder
2 tsp baking powder
salt to taste
Approximately 200g vegan yoghurt
2 tsp maple syrup
In a bowl add the flour, Beetroot Powder, salt and baking powder and stir through
Add the maple syrup and then the yoghurt in small amounts to form a soft pillowy dough (depending on your flour you may need a little more or a little less of the yoghurt)
On a floured work surface, knead the dough until nice and smooth, then split the dough in half and begin rolling the first ball. Roll to your desired thickness (thin or thick crust)
Place on a baking tray and top with a couple of teaspoons of homemade pesto
Pop into the oven for around 15-20 minutes at 180C until cooked through and crispy on the edges
Remove from the oven and top with extra pesto, rocket, avocado, fig and hemp seeds
