Treat yourself to these hauntingly delicious chocolate fudge donuts made with our certified organic Cacao Powder and Coconut Sugar. These fang-tastic hole-o-ween donuts will lift your spirits and feed all the hungry boys and ghouls.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

1/2 cup of almond meal
1/2 cup gaHm gum)
1/4 cup Power Super Foods Coconut Sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp Power super Foods Cacao Powder
1 tbsp mesquite or Power Super Foods Lucuma Powder
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch salt

Wet Ingredients

1/2 cup apple puree (or mashed banana) either store bought or homemade
1/3 cup of nut (eg almond) or rice milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
Chia egg (1 tbsp Power Super Foods Chia with 3 tbs water set aside for 5 minutes)

Directions

Preheat oven to 180C
Combine the wet and dry ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine (don't over mix for a more textured donut or blend in a food processor for a smoother textured donut)
Spoon or pipe the mix into donut moulds and fill almost to the top
Bake for 10-12 minutes

Glaze

Add 1/4 cup coconut oil melted to 1/4 cup Cacao Powder and 2 tbsp maple syrup and stir to combine
Once donuts have baked and are fully cooled dip each one into chocolate glaze
Allow glazed donuts to set in fridge for a firmer glaze
Sprinkle over with Power Super Foods Cacao Crunch or Nibs
Decorate with candy eyes and nut teeth eg blanched almonds or chopped macadamias
Have a spooky time!
