These gelatin free elderberry gummy bears for our vegan friends are berry beary good and much healthier than regular gummy lollies. Made with magical Elderberry Powder to help strengthen immunity and build resistance, this is a fun easy recipe for kids (and grown ups!) to get involved in.

Vegan elderberry gummy bears

These gelatin free elderberry gummy bears for our vegan friends are berry beary good and much healthier than regular gummy lollies. Made with magical Elderberry Powder to help strengthen immunity and build resistance, this is a fun easy recipe for kids (and grown ups!) to get involved in.
Ingredients

1 cup 100% pure cherry juice

4 Tbs pure maple syrup

1 Tbs agar agar powder (not flakes)

1/2 Tbs Power Super Foods Elderberry Powder
Directions
Firstly ensure 2 x silicone (or any other) moulds are clean and dry and ready to use.
Then pour the cherry juice, maple syrup and agar agar powder into a bowl and mix well with a whisk.
Transfer the liquid into a small saucepan and stir well, bring to a slight boil, then simmer for a few minutes continuously stirring and take off the heat.
Allow the liquid to cool for a couple of minutes and add in the Elderberry Powder, mixing in well.
Working quickly use a dropper or small spoon to fill the moulds with the liquid (it sets quite quickly).
Allow to set fully for approx. 10-15 minutes at room temperate or in the fridge. These can be kept for 1-2 weeks in the fridge in an air tight container or much longer in the freezer
We recommend consuming around 1-3 smaller gummy bears per day.
